My name is Sofia Bougioukli and I am a teacher of modern Greek as a foreign language. I help Philhellenes – lovers of Greece and Greek culture – to become fluent in Greek so that they can communicate confidently with locals.

I founded the Polymnia Project to encourage my students to study Greek in its broader cultural context while making connections with its long history and tradition.

In the last 7 years, I’ve been guiding and supporting hundreds of students to express themselves in Greek and become fluent fast through stimulating discussions about Greek literature, history & culture.
